Use Case Overview
This is a product idea for a virtual showroom application driven by virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). We’re using the example of premium watches but AR watch visualization could work as well for the manufacturers of jewelry and other luxury wearables.
Millennial and Generation Z consumers are estimated to drive as much as 70% of purchase in the luxury goods sector by 2025, while also entering this market at an earlier age than any past generation. This calls for manufacturers of premium goods to adapt their products, marketing strategies, and customer experiences to meet the evolving preferences and expectations of these digitally-native consumers in order to remain relevant in the highly competitive market.
VR and AR can help such brands bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds, while preserving the exclusivity and luxury experience associated with their products. This is possible primarily through:
1) seamless virtual try-on experiences
2) high degree of interactivity
3) unparalleled customization and personalization options
This is a conceptual demonstration created by Nomtek. It is intended to inspire by illustrating the potential benefits of utilizing Apple Vision Pro - a new, fascinating technology whose positive impact will be large but is yet to be discovered. It is also intended to show Nomtek's engineering competences and application delivery capabilities.

Value for Brands
Enriching the sales process with VR and AR experiences can also benefit the brands, as they deliver higher-quality service, acquire valuable data, and drive financial metrics thanks to their customers’ improved purchasing decisions. By helping customers have better shopping experiences through spatial technologies, watch brands add another layer of engagement.
Contextualized and customer-centered sales process
Interactive try-on experiences create a unique opportunity for brands to contextually capture and respond to the customers’ interest in a watch or other wearable at its peak, leading to increased conversion and revenue.
Insight into what customers want
Advanced customization and personalization options are a valuable source of data on the behavior, needs, and preferences of the brand’s key customer segments. Deep learning algorithms can also help the watch industry get the necessary intelligence to further boost sales and customer experience.
Well-considered purchase
The high degree of product customization, on-demand shopping assistance, and the virtual try-on of a luxury watch, versus a mere 2D presentation on the flat screen of a desktop or mobile device, substantially increase the odds of a thoughtful and satisfying purchase, thus decreasing the rate of product returns.
